Why You Should Ask For Help

Why You Should Ask For Help

“You can’t sustainably do everything yourself.”

How do we ask for help? Why is it so hard to do that? And how can we do so without destroying credibility, making ourselves feel weak, or making others think we’re unreliable?

I work with a lot of fiercely independent women who are absolutely killing it. Many of them are telling themselves the same stories I used to tell myself about why I shouldn’t ask for help: I don’t want to look like I can’t handle it. I don’t want to ruin my reputation, make myself too vulnerable, or be needy.

But you’re going to get yourself to a point beyond which you can’t really grow. You have to be able to ask others for help and lose some pieces of control. In this episode of Profitable Joyful Consulting, learn how to ask for help in letting go of control (like having someone help you do things so you’re doing less).
